GYLD members attended the China-Africa Global Governance Seminar

On 29 August, on the eve of the opening of the 2024 FOCAC Summit, several members of GYLD from Africa actively participated in a seminar on the theme ‘Reimagining the Current Global Governance System to Work for Africa and Prospects for China-Africa Cooperation’. Diplomats from China and African countries, heads of international organizations, think tank experts, university scholars, and media repesentatives, they gathered together to discuss how China-Africa cooperation can play a greater role in global governance.The seminar was jointly organized by Center for China and Globalizaation(CCG) and Development Reimagined.

During the discussion, all of the distinguished guests exchanged views on China-Africa cooperation, the Belt and Road,development assistance and global governance, aiming to offer suggestions on how China can further open up while enhance its level and capacity.

Young professionals are the important force in promoting China-Africa people-to-people exchanges and enhancing civil friendship understanding. During the seminar, several members of GYLD had in-depth exchanges with the guests and actively contributed their wisdom and insights to the cooperation. Brett Lyndall Singh and Tungamirai Eric Mupona, said that young professionals are the messenger of China-Africa friendship, and that they should further strengthen exchanges and mutual understanding, so as to contribute to the sustainable development of China-Africa cooperation in the future.
