Mathias Corvinus Collegium Delegation Visits GYLD Secretariat

On April 1, 2025, a delegation of 26 Hungarian young professionals from the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) Leadership Academy visited the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) Secretariat and the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), engaging in a dialogue on key international issues such as EU-China relations and youth exchanges.

Dr. Wang Huiyao, Founder and President of CCG, warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of CCG’s research areas and the GYLD program, highlighting activities related to Sino-EU exchanges.

Péter Király, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Hungary in China, introduced MCC and its young scholars.

The dialogue was moderated by CCG Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jun. During the meeting, CCG Non-Resident Research Fellow Dr. Wang Caixiao discussed China’s green and clean energy industry with the Hungarian guests; CCG Research Fellow Dr. Liu Hong shared his insights on geopolitical issues; Jia Yuxuan, Assistant Research Fellow at CCG, introduced CCG’s newsletter and the GYLD program; and Xu Zeyang, Assistant Research Fellow at CCG, engaged in a conversation with the Hungarian representatives about the historical changes and future development of globalization.

During the open discussion, the young delegates actively engaged in conversations and posed questions on various global topics, exchanging ideas in a warm and friendly atmosphere where wisdom was shared and perspectives collided.

Established in 1996, MCC is a prominent private higher education institution in Hungary and one of Central Europe’s leading academic and talent development centers. The MCC Leadership Academy offers a comprehensive 10-month leadership training program designed for graduates in their 20s, aiming to cultivate Hungary’s future leaders. This program integrates academic coursework, practical training, and a global perspective. Through an immersive study trip lasting over 50 days, participants engage in dialogues with top decision-makers and entrepreneurs, take part in cultural events and hands-on projects, and enhance their decision-making and leadership skills.
