WANG Huiyao

Dr. Huiyao (Henry) WANG is the Founder and President of Center for China and Globalization (CCG), the leading Chinese non-government think tank that ranks among the top 100 think tanks in the world. Dr. Wang was appointed by Chinese Premier as a Counselor of China’s State Council, China’s cabinet in 2015. In addition, he is the Vice Chairman of China Association for International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, and Chairman of China Global Talent Society under Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security; Vice Chairman of China Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA)；Expert of Expert Committee of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; Vice President of China Public Relations Association (CPRA); the Dean of Institute of Development Studies of China Southwestern University of Finance and Economics; CPPCC member of Beijing Municipality.

In addition, he is also a steering committee member of Paris Peace Forum launched by French President Emmanuel Macron, a steering committee member of Metropolis International Network, a member of Duke Kunshan University Advisory Council, a member of Yale University Asia Development Advisory Council, and also a member of Advisory Committee of the Center for Global Competence Development, Tsinghua University. Dr. Wang once worked as World Bank Expert and had also sit on the Migration Advisory Board of International Organization of Migration (IOM) of United Nations.Dr. Wang pursued PhD studies at University of Western Ontario and University of Manchester and obtained his PhD’s degree in international business and global management. He was a Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and a Visiting Fellow at Brookings Institution. He has taught at Peking University, Tsinghua University and Richard Ivey Business School as adjunct professor. He has also authored and edited over 80 books in both Chinese and English on talent development, global trade, global governance, global migration, talents mobility, China outbound and inbound investment, overseas Chinese and Chinese think tanks.
